Note: Within the full program of Urban Art Games, this module is the link between the first and second cycles and, as such, is meant to focus on the conception and initial planning of the story/mythology to be developed throughout the second cycle.
What options does the program offer?
Each of the modules is designed as an independent workshop, so patrons can choose to take the full program or either one or a combination of any of the modules in cycle 1. They may simply choose to take it as a basic tutorial (and use it as the opportunity to begin building their portfolios) or to complement it with a second cycle (i.e. the involvement in the production of a local story*). In these cases the second cycle(i.e. the form and nature of the story) would be conceived, planned and designed according to the chosen module(s).
Modes of delivery
Urban Art Games offers in-call services in (and around) the greater Melbourne and remote/online delivery via Zoom. The program has been designed taking into account the social distancing measures recommended by the Department of Health and Human Services of Victoria, AUS.
The workshops are designed to be completed with smart phones, laptop/tablet and open source software (although it also covers the basic use of some of the Adobe CC applications). Nonetheless, for in-call services, the instructor shall also bring complimentary equipment (e.g. cameras, tripods, microphones).
